2019 North Burnett Tourism Forum – Making tourism our business

Mar 12, 2019 | Front Page Feature, News

North Burnett Regional Council invites local businesses and community members to attend one of the 2019 North Burnett Tourism Forums being held in the North Burnett. Forum attendees will gain an understanding and insight from our tourism partners on emerging tourism trends, and how to potentially leverage business opportunities from these trends.  Attendees are able to actively participate in discussions regarding the economic and social benefits tourism brings to our region.

These FREE forums, held at Monto and Binjour, will highlight a range of opportunities to enable sustainable tourism development and resource management, with a strong focus on networking, local tourism information, the characteristics of tourist’s movement, cultural tourism and social media.  The forums are aimed to assist the region in the preparation for the up and coming 2019 tourism season.

The forums will take a close look at how tourism is everyone’s business and how we can make our travellers feel like our G.U.E.S.T. during their stay in our naturally beautiful region.

Forum guest speakers include: The Tourism Guru – James Corvan; Tourism & Events QLD Strategic Projects Director – David Morgans; QLD Parks & Wildlife Services Senior Ranger – John Stewart; and Tourism Tribe CEO – Liz Ward.

The forums will feature information on Council’s partnership with the Drive Inland Group, Arts & Cultural Tourism discussions, details on Council’s tourism projects, and how YOU, our North Burnett residents, can be our local tourism ambassadors.
