You might have heard that the North Burnett Regional Council website has had a facelift! That’s right! A new, more functional, mobile friendly website using current technology has hit the internet!

The new website went live on Monday, 5 September. We encourage all locals and visitors to the region to make our new website your first search point and single point of truth for information and news. This initial roll-out of the website is just the first stage in an ongoing process.  Council will be working to get the new website more functional to assist you with processing payments, service requests and other interactive processes online, at a time convenient to you.

North Burnett Regional Council Mayor, Cr Rachel Chambers advised that with Council’s focus for improvements in productivity, the need was identified to upgrade the previous website to a newer platform and be mobile device friendly.

“The revamped website will enable the public to find information and interact with council with much more ease, and in a much more succinct way,” Mayor Rachel said.

“As for paying bills, this functionality will be rolled out in the coming months. This is the start of the process not the end, and as such we invite all feedback to enable us to produce the most effective website possible.”

We are hopeful that this next stage of the process will be completed early in the new year. In the meantime, please take a look at our new site www.northburnett.qld.gov.au and don’t forget to let us know what you think… or changes you would like to see implemented to make it more user friendly!
