Works will commence this week to top-dress the Eidsvold airstrip, creating a safer and better quality airstrip for community and emergency services use.
The airstrip will be closed from COB on Thursday 4 November while these top-dress works are undertaken. Due to the recent weather affecting these works, the Airstrip will have a delayed reopening, now expected to be early December 2021.
While we are there, we will be preparing for the installation of a new animal proof chain wire perimeter fence that will be erected in early 2022. This upgrade is thanks to funding received from the Australian Government as part of the Regional Airports Program.
All other airstrip in the region are scheduled to be open. If you’d like more information on these, visit: North Burnett Regional Council – Aerodromes
