Enhanced Parks Maintenance through W4Q

North Burnett Regional Council’s Works for Queensland (W4Q) projects continue with enhancements to some of the regions parks and open spaces being progressed.

Round 2 of the State Government’s ‘Works for Queensland’ (W4Q) program, to assist regional councils to help stimulate growth and improve minor infrastructure across regional Queensland, includes funding for the ‘NBRC Enhanced Parks Maintenance’ projects, incorporating works at Mundubbera, Monto and Biggenden.

The projects, due for completion by the end of March 2019,  will see improvements to the following parks / open spaces at:

  • Mundubbera – installation of street furniture along with a ping pong table at Pioneer Park (front of the library);
  • Monto – installation of street furniture in the main street;
  • Biggenden – installation of an irrigation system at the Biggenden Sportsground.

Pioneer Park, Mundubbera, in front of the Mundubbera Library (Including several parking spots in front of the facility) will be closed to the public from Wednesday, 12 December through to Friday, 14 December whilst a slab for the Popp ping pong table is installed.

Council apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause.
