Camerata in Concert – Mundubbera

Join Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra for an unforgettable evening of beloved and joyous classical music alongside a new Australian work in a performance that the whole family will enjoy! Camerata in Concert will feature a 15-piece orchestra and a joyous program with works by the Italian Baroque violin virtuoso Locatelli, Dvorak's radiant Serenade for Strings, and more, including a brand new composition by Camerata's 2024 Emerging Composer-in-Residence, Alexandra Mison. Camerata will also be joined for some encores by local performers and community musicians. Camerata is delighted to premiere Mison’s piece in regional Queensland, following a long tradition of local audiences loving new music commissioned by Camerata, previously based on the Fraser Coast, Emerald, Winton in Western Queensland, and more. This year, Mison’s work is inspired by her recent trip exploring the Biloela and Theodore regions, and will conjure evocative soundscapes in an exciting new work for string orchestra.
