RACQ Get Ready Week – 10-16 October 2016…

Next week is RACQ Get Ready Queensland Week (10-16 October) and RACQ Get Ready Queensland Day (10 October).

RACQ Get Ready Queensland is about building our resilience to deal with the extreme weather and natural disasters that are a part of living in our state. The week celebrates the resilient nature of Queenslanders. No matter what gets thrown at us, we bounce back.

North Burnett residents are invited to call into their local library and view our Disaster Management displays. Disaster preparedness brochures are available… and don’t forget to pick up a copy of the ‘Get Ready North Burnett – Guide to preparing for disasters and emergency situations’.

Council will be holding a FREE morning or afternoon tea at all libraries during Get Ready Week. All Councillors will be attending a regional morning tea next Wednesday, 12 October at the Mt Perry library commencing 10:30am, in conjunction with Council’s General Meeting.  Call in and say hello… meet our Councillors and pick up some free disaster preparedness material…

Contact your local library to confirm the date and time for the morning or afternoon tea near you…

What if…. Get Ready North Burnett!
