HAT DAY Shining the Light on Mental Health

Oct 4, 2016 | Front Page Feature, News

Friday, 7 October 2016!

What is hat day?

Friday, October 7 is Hat Day, the fun-draising day where you wear a hat and make a donation to help shine a light on mental illness in Australia.

This year, North Burnett Regional Council staff will help promote this worthwhile cause by wearing a hat to work!

Residents are also invited to wear a hat on Friday and are welcome to make a donation to this wonderful cause online through Council’s ‘Hat Day’ link at http://www.hatday.com.au/event?id=1255 or at any local library*. Residents are also invited to call into their library for morning tea and bring a plate to share… contact your local library on 1300 696 272 (1300 MY NBRC) for more details…    (*cash donations made at local libraries will be distributed between the three local Rotary groups.)

Hat Day is an initiative of Australian Rotary Health, one of the largest non-government funders of mental illness research in Australia.
