Recent river rises have seen some residents unable to stock up on essential supplies for an extended amount of time.
River levels are expected to slightly increase and peak across the catchment over coming days which will limit some rural residents ability to source essential supplies.
BOM predictions indicate river levels at Mundubbera and Gayndah to stay between Minor and Moderate levels as the recent rainfall makes it way down the catchment.
At this point in time we do not expect any homes to become inundated, however, it’s a timely remind to check your ‘what if plan’ here.
Residents should ensure they understand their risk, prepare a household emergency plan and pack an emergency kit.
You emergency kit should contain sufficient food, water and clothing to support you and your family during times of emergency and isolation.
