North Burnett libraries celebrate Harmony Day on Wednesday, 21 March 2018

Mar 19, 2018 | Front Page Feature, News

North Burnett Regional Council is encouraging residents to come and celebrate the region’s cultural diversity at libraries throughout the region.

North Burnett libraries will be marking this year’s national Harmony Day, held each year on 21 March, with a display showcasing the region’s strong spirit of inclusiveness and sense of belonging for everyone.  In conjunction with Harmony Day, staff have been invited to wear orange in support of the day.

The theme for Harmony Day 2018 is ‘belonging’.

Library displays will showcase how our cultural diversity is one of our region’s greatest assets and why we are stronger because of it.

We want everyone, no matter who they are or where they’re from, to call into their local library, check out the display and appreciate that our differences make our community a great place to live.  Residents are encouraged to wear orange in support of the day and to share their Harmony Day celebrations and pictures on social media using #harmonyday
