North Burnett Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) moved to Stand Up as at 4.30pm 27/10/23. This ensures all LDMG agencies are ready and prepared to provide assistance to QFES if and when required.
Multiple fires continue to burn throughout the North Burnett after storms caused dry lightning strikes overnight. QFES have done an amazing job today containing as many fires as possible and will continue to respond until the threat eases.
Council reminds the community we are currently in a Fire Ban and there are multiple advice warnings in place for Smoke Hazard. The community should take this into consideration when making your weekend plans and avoid unnecessary travel.
