The Executive Team

North Burnett Regional Council’s executive team comprises of a Chief Executive Officer and two General Managers.

Margot Stork

Chief Executive Officer

Margot Stork commenced her leadership of North Burnett Regional Council on Monday, 23 May 2022.

Margot joins council with over 20 years’ experience in Chief Executive and Senior Executive roles in both Local and State Governments.

Margot has an extensive portfolio of formal qualifications including:

  • Masters in Business Administration
  • Masters in Commercial Law
  • Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics
  • Graduate Diplomas in Applied Corporate Governance and Risk, Public Relations, and Urban and Regional Planning

Margot brings a strategic mindset to Council’s Executive Team, with skills and experience in finance, community engagement, advocacy, and organisational leadership.

Margot’s objective is to be an effective, values-based leader who delivers sound advice and outcomes underpinned by evidence, honesty, and fearlessness.

Anna Scott

General Manager Works

Anna commenced with Council in July 2022 as the General Manager Works. 

She brings with her over 8 years experience in senior leadership positions in local government, predominantly in rural and regional environments.  Prior to joining local government, Anna had spent over 20 years in the asset infrastructure space, with various roles in the consulting engineering, water utilities and large civil construction sectors.

Anna has an extensive portfolio of formal qualifications including:

  • Masters of Engineering and Science (Water Care)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Environment)
  • Cert IV Safety Leadership
  • Member – IPWEA

Kim Mahoney

General Manager Corporate and Community

Kim commenced with Council in July 2023 as the General Manager Corporate and Community.
 
Kim brings to the North Burnett extensive Local and State Government experience, including 13 years in key Senior Leadership roles.
 
Kim’s skills and experience include Governance and Risk Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Economic Development, Strategic Policy and Program Development and Implementation.
 
Throughout her career, Kim has successfully developed and nurtured high-functioning, dynamic teams, and developed and maintained key community, stakeholder and industry relationships.

Kim has an extensive portfolio of formal qualifications including:

  • Company Directors Course
  • Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management
  • Graduate Diploma Urban and Regional Planning
  • Bachelor of Applied Science – Built Environment
