Current Emergency Management Information

North Burnett Regional Council, in partnership with the Queensland Government, is preparing “Walking Network Plans” for the township of Mount Perry.

This project aims to develop plans for walking networks (paths) that are safe, connected and accessible for all community members. The planning, which will run until early-2025, is partly funded under the Queensland Government’s Walking Local Government Grants program.

A community stakeholder workshop will be held in the coming weeks to gain input and feedback from our communities, businesses, not-for profit sector and community groups in the planning stage of this project.

This workshop is vital in developing “Walking Network Plans” which will guide Council’s works program for walking networks for the next 10 years and beyond.

Members of the community are invited to attend the stakeholder workshop facilitated by CRC QLD at the Mount Perry Sport and Recreation Centre, 29 October 2024, 8.30am – 12:00pm

To RSVP, please contact Council by 5.00pm 24 October 2024 by telephone on 1300 696 272 or email admin@northburnett.qld.gov.au

Attendees are asked to bring their phones, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection and a bottle of water to the workshop as it will include a walk along a proposed route.
