Illegally Dumped Tyres

Illegally dumped tyres are a significant concern in the region. This year, so far, ratepayers have had to subsidise the removal and disposal of approximately 155 tonnes of tyres. This illegal dumping is costly to the environment and on Council resources. Two recent incidents were the illegal dumping of 41 tyres near Mount Perry and 46 at Lakeside Park by a suspected commercial operator.

If you have information on these or other incidents, please get in contact with Council to help us stamp out illegal dumping and hold those responsible accountable. You can share photos or information of persons and vehicles via our website, by calling 1300 696 272 or emailing admin@northburnett.qld.gov.au.

St Therese Christmas Fair

The St Therese Parents and Friends Committee brought festive cheer to the community with their annual Christmas Fair on Friday, 15 November 2024. Despite the rain, the event was a resounding success, with stallholders, families, and even Santa embracing the holiday spirit. A highlight of the evening was a special student performance from the wider schooling community, directed by Cilla Pershouse, which showcased the students’ enthusiasm and pride in their schools.
