Mayor Les Hotz today announced the resignation of North Burnett Regional Council CEO Margot Stork. Citing personal reasons, Ms Stork’s resignation will take effect immediately.

“On behalf of Council, I want to acknowledge the skills and professionalism that Ms Stork brought to the role, and thank her for her tireless efforts over the past two years, particularly in the areas of governance and systems improvement,” Mayor Hotz said.

“Ms Stork has asked me to thank Council and staff for their support during her tenure,” Mayor Hotz added. “She said that the establishment of a high calibre senior management and leadership team was one of her most satisfying achievements whilst at North Burnett and she is confident that they will hold Council in good stead going forward.”

Earlier today, a Special Meeting of Council appointed Ms Anna Scott as the Acting CEO, effective immediately. Ms Scott will serve until the permanent appointment process is finalised or until an Interim CEO is appointed.
