The 2024 annual road reseal program was recently deferred; however, it is currently scheduled to resume in September 2024, weather permitting. The deferral was due to a delayed start and unfavourable weather conditions at the time the program was being undertaken.
Unfortunately, civil work programs can be affected by a multitude of outside influences, such as weather conditions and natural disasters, as well as emergent road repairs, individual road conditions, and increased industry or project activity in a particular area.
The deferral decision was made to ensure optimal conditions and results are achieved for the long-term benefit of the road network.
