Claude Wharton Weir users are set to benefit from facility upgrades thanks to Rural Aid assistance.
The upgrades include installation of safety bollards near the boat ramp, and two shelter sheds with electric BBQs at the recreation area.
Works will start on Thursday, 27 January 2022 and be conducted during weekdays. While work is undertaken on site the Weir will be closed to the public. However, the Weir will remain open over weekends so that residents and visitors can get out on the water and enjoy the area.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed Monday, 7 February 2022 – weather permitting.
