Current Emergency Management Information

For safety and upkeep reasons, the terraced garden at the Gayndah Town Hall will be removed on Tuesday, 30 March 2021.

The gardens that adorn the front of the Gayndah Memorial Hall do look fantastic!  However, they need to be removed because they are no longer suitable for the area.

Council is removing the gardens because:

  • Some areas of the terrace have been damaged and are falling away – this has become a public safety risk.
  • The gardens are messy – soil continually washes onto the footpath.
  • Removal will allow the contractors painting the hall to be able to paint the whole front of the building.

The plants in these gardens have been kindly donated by NBRC staff and our Parks & Open Spaces team will be repurposing these in suitable locations.  Council will be considering a future project to beautify the front area of the hall once the building has been painted.

Council appreciates your cooperation whilst the garden is being removed.  Please avoid the area and adhere to all safety signage.

Reminder: Contractors will begin repainting the Gayndah Town Hall on Monday, 29 March 2021.  Please avoid the area and adhere to all safety signage.
