A new super round of Queensland’s largest one-off funding grants was announced by the State Government to support community groups impacted by the recent natural disasters.

$30 million has been set aside for the next round of the GCBF to help local community groups recover from the recent flooding events.

This round will close on 15 July 2022 and Council is urging community groups who are intending to apply for a grant to seek letters of support from Council prior to 26 May 2022.

Letters of support are a key component of a successful grant application.  A letter of support from Council may strengthen your application and demonstrate broader community support and need for the project. It may also demonstrate that key stakeholders have been consulted and endorse the project.

All letters of support from Council take six weeks to process – please make your request before 26 May 2022.
