North Burnett Regional Council has appointed Mr Craig Matheson as the interim Chief Executive Officer following a Special Council Meeting held on June 12, 2024.
Mayor Les Hotz welcomed Mr Matheson’s appointment, which followed a panel selection process, and the opportunity for all councillors to meet the shortlisted candidates.
Mr Matheson will commence his appointment on July 8, 2024. Council is excited to have Mr Matheson on board, bringing his wealth of local government experience to the position.
“Mr Matheson is a well-rounded and experienced local government professional, and Council looks forward to his commencement as Interim CEO,” Mayor Hotz said.
“We wish to extend a thanks to Ms Scott for her dedication as acting CEO and extend that thanks to all managers and staff for their continued support through a pivotal time, particularly as the budget is developed.”
Ms Scott will remain acting CEO until Mr Matheson’s commencement.
Mr Matheson will continue as interim CEO until a permanent CEO is appointed.
