At the first Post Election meeting held in Gayndah yesterday, Councillors voted Division 1 Councillor, Melinda Jones, as the Deputy Mayor for North Burnett Regional Council.
Councillor Jones was also re-appointed as the Local Disaster Management Group Chairperson.
Councillors Trina Vaughan and Renee McGilvery were appointed as the Local Disaster Management Group Deputy Chairpersons.
CEO Ms Margot Stork congratulated the returning and newly elected Councillors on the commencements of their new term, and the further appointment of Councillors into the Local Disaster Management Group and Deputy Mayor positions.
The date for the first Ordinary Meeting of the new Council is set for Wednesday 24 April 2024.
