Earthmoving machinery and the risks of spreading invasive species

Oct 18, 2019 | Front Page Feature, News

Did you know that earthmoving machinery presents a high risk of spreading invasive species (including weeds and animals) within the Wide Bay Burnett region?

To reduce your risk of inheriting someone else’s problem, make sure you inspect all machinery before giving permission for them to come onto your property.

With funding from the Queensland Government as part of the Better Partnerships Project, we are here to help. Contact a Council Land Protection Officer on 1300 696 272 (1300 MY NBRC) or visit the following websites for more information on how you can prevent the spread of invasive species on your property:

For further information contact Councils Natural Resource Management team on 1300 696 272 (1300 MY NBRC) or email admin@northburnett.qld.gov.au.
