Current Emergency Management Information

Council is working with the Rural Fire Service Queensland to conduct hazard reduction burns around Eidsvold on 20 October 2024, weather conditions permitting.

The location will be Mount Rose, behind Golden Spur Street.

Hazard reduction burns are being engaged throughout the region to mitigate the risk of bushfires during the fire season.

The burn is scheduled at Eidsvold on Sunday 20 October 2024, weather conditions permitting, and is expected to last approximately one day.

Due to the nature of these operations, certain access points, including roads, may be temporarily closed within the hazard reduction burn-controlled zone.

Whilst these burns are undertaken stay inside and close windows and doors, keep respiratory medications close by, avoid driving through smoke if you can, watch out for firefighters working in the area, and do not fly drones around the fire as it can affect air operations.
