Following the official declaration of election results the swearing in ceremony for the newly elected members of the North Burnett Regional Council will take place at 3.00pm on Friday April 5, 2024, at the Gayndah Town Hall, Capper Street, Gayndah.

The swearing in ceremony is a statutory requirement that enables the newly elected members to take office and form a functioning and stable Council.

Margot Stork, Chief Executive Officer of the North Burnett Regional Council, extends a warm invitation to community, along with friends and family, to attend the event.

“This ceremony is a cornerstone of our community calendar, where seven dedicated individuals will pledge their commitment to serving our community for the next four years,” said Ms Stork.

Taking their oath of office will be North Burnett Regional Council re-elected Mayor Les Hotz, re-elected Councillors Sue Payne, Michael Dingle, Melinda Jones, and new Councillors Trina Vaughan, Renee McGilvery, and Moira Thompson.

Ms Stork congratulates all elected Councillors, acknowledging the considerable dedication and challenges they will face in their roles.
