Rensina van den Heuvel's RADF project "Herstory" celebrates the stories of North Burnett women. "It has been almost a year since I embarked on this project to capture some of the stories of the Elder/Older women of the North Burnett Region." said Rensina. "I invited any woman who would be willing to be interviewed and who would like to be a part of this journey and share their stories." "I travelled to their towns of Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Mt Perry, Biggenden and Gayndah. 26 women opened their homes and hearts to me, with trust and courage. I felt grateful and humbled. Amidst joy, sorrow, wistfulness, and at times in, uproarious laughter, their stories unfolded." "To bear witness to their eminence was pure joy. The stories are unique and precious; from a bygone era. The book, Herstory- A Walk in Her Shoes is the culmination of these heart stories." Please celebrate Rensina's book and stories of North Burnett women by attending your local book launch! The event is Free. Light refreshments provided. Books will also be available for purchase @ $25 each. Town New Date Booking Times Event Start Time Venue Gayndah Wed 4/5/22 9.30–11.00am 10.00am Gayndah Supper Room Biggenden Fri […]
