Community Rehearsal with Camerata – Monto

Don't miss this once and lifetime opportunity to perform with Camerata! Camerata warmly invites all musicians in the North Burnett to join their community rehearsal at 5.30pm and then perform with Camerata in the finale at the Monto Evening Concert! The finale includes two iconic pieces especially arranged for the 2024 Regional Tour: Coldplay’s Viva La Vida and Beethoven’s Ode To Joy. All ages, abilities, and instruments (including singers) are welcome! Sheet music can be provided in advance to practice prior to the rehearsal. Camerata in Concert – Monto

Join Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra for an unforgettable evening of beloved and joyous classical music alongside a new Australian work in a performance that the whole family will enjoy! Camerata in Concert will feature a 15-piece orchestra and a joyous program with works by the Italian Baroque violin virtuoso Locatelli, Dvorak's radiant Serenade for Strings, and more, including a brand new composition by Camerata's 2024 Emerging Composer-in-Residence, Alexandra Mison. Camerata will also be joined for some encores by local performers and community musicians. Camerata is delighted to premiere Mison’s piece in regional Queensland, following a long tradition of local audiences loving new music commissioned by Camerata, previously based on the Fraser Coast, Emerald, Winton in Western Queensland, and more. This year, Mison’s work is inspired by her recent trip exploring the Biloela and Theodore regions, and will conjure evocative soundscapes in an exciting new work for string orchestra. Monto Show Cattle Drive & Trail Ride

This years event will be held at “Walkers Creek” , thanks to the Hockey family. The views as you can see will be spectacular. The event will be held on the weekend of the 7th -9th of June 2024. Arriving from 12pm on the 7th June and finishing up around 1pm Sunday the 9th. This year Monto is celebrating 100yrs of settlement, over the weekend we will be incorporating the celebration in our weekend. Weekend prices are: Adult rider $250 per person Child under 16yrs of age $120 per person Non rider $175 per person Day riders $175 per person Saturday night meal $30 per person (includes entertainment) Price includes meals from Friday night to Sunday lunch time Friday night dinner Saturday breakfast, smoko, lunch and dinner Sunday breakfast, smoko and lunch A deposit of $100 per person is required at time of booking to secure your spot for the weekend Yards for horses will be provided on request- when filling out your paperwork please indicate if you require yards for the weekend.
