Queensland Ballet Community Classes

Council is delighted to partner with Queensland Ballet to facilitate community ballet classes in Biggenden, in September 2022. “Dance has the incredible ability to transform lives, whether it’s through the physical movement, the social aspect or the creative expression. Enjoy the trills and rhythms of jazz vocalist Helen Downs, while you wander around the food court. Interact with Wheel of Wellbeing activities and view the display of meaningful photographs from the Stories from Golden Hearts Competition. Keep the kids entertained, with rides on the free jumping castle and craft activities. $5 Entry fee. DFV Prevention Month Candlelight Vigil

Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month is an annual event held each May to raise community awareness of the social and personal impacts of domestic and family violence and the support available to those affected. In Australia at least one woman is killed every week by an intimate partner and children are also victims in these homicides. Every year we hold our Candle Lighting Vigil to remember those who have lost their lives because of domestic and family violence from January 2024 to May 2024 This year we will hold a Candlelight Vigil on the 1st of May 2024 5:30pm at Gayndah Couty House 20 Capper Steet , Gayndah Queensland 4625 We pay our respect and remember those who have lost their life due to Domestic and Family Violence.
