Queensland Ballet is excited to hit the road again to spread the magic of ballet with people of all ages and abilities as part of their 2022 Community Regional Tour. Council is delighted to partner with Queensland Ballet to facilitate community ballet classes in Biggenden, in September 2022. “Dance has the incredible ability to transform lives, whether it’s through the physical movement, the social aspect or the creative expression. This community event is your chance to relax and recharge. Located at the stunning Mt Perry Racecourse, the all ages event includes MC and comedy performance by Australian comedy legend, Peter Rowsthorn and entertainment provided by Mt Perry locals, Susie Jay and Joey Ace, performing their Tom Jones and the Divas Act. Enjoy the trills and rhythms of jazz vocalist Helen Downs, while you wander around the food court. Interact with Wheel of Wellbeing activities and view the display of meaningful photographs from the Stories from Golden Hearts Competition. Keep the kids entertained, with rides on the free jumping castle and craft activities. $5 Entry fee.
