Current Emergency Management Information

Council has signed up to take part in the Farm Angels (previously known as Drought Angels) Flanno for a Farmer Day, to support Australian farmers and their families.

The North Burnett region is primarily made up of farming communities, which are often affected by natural disasters. By donning your finest ‘flanno’ on Friday, 23 August 2024, and donating, you will be helping Farm Angels to provide financial assistance, food hampers, care packs, and mental wellbeing support to farmers in need.

As Farm Angels state, “most farmers would give the shirt off their own backs if it meant helping someone in need. It’s because many have seen hard times and understand that a simple gesture can make a world of difference. Flanno for a Farmer is just that: a great way to let Aussie farmers know that we’ve got their backs, when they have always had ours.”

Join the checked revolution today and show our farmers that they are not alone and that we’re here to lend a helping hand.

Donations will be accepted in person at your local North Burnett Regional Council Customer Service and Library Centres, calling 1300 696 272 or using the below QR code up to close of business on Friday, 23 August 2024. For more details, go to www.flannoforafarmer.com.au or call 07 4662 7371.
