On Wednesday 14 September 2022, work will begin on the Gayndah Lawn Cemetery irrigation upgrade. Due to this work, a section of Downing Street will be closed, so that there will be no thoroughfare, with limited access to residential traffic only, from 7am to 3pm.
Residents will still have property access, however access from Capper Street through to Porter Street will be unavailable. Minimal disturbance to the area is expected and the cemetery will be open to the public during these works.
