Mount Perry Show
Crowds of locals and visitors experienced all the colour and excitement of the Mount Perry Show on Saturday 15 April 2023, with camp drafting, woodchopping events, prime and stud cattle, dog shows, horse riding events, such as working cattle, sporting and barrel racing, longhorn tip to tip competition, cooking, art and craft and produce, as well as sideshow alley, music, entertainment and fireworks. I congratulate all the Show Society organisers, entrants and volunteers for the hard work which went into making the Mount Perry Show such a successful day.
ANZAC Day
Anzac Day will be commemorated on Tuesday 25 April 2023 and as it is a public holiday, all North Burnett Regional Council Customer Service and Libraries will be closed for the day. For any urgent matters, the Contact Centre will be available through our afterhours service provider.

Eidsvold Meeting
I would like to remind members of the community that there will be a public meeting in the Eidsvold Community Hall on Friday 28 April 2023, commencing at 7.00pm. Mr Colin Boyce MP, the Federal Member for Flynn will be visiting the Eidsvold Community to listen to concerns regarding the decommissioning of the Eidsvold Television Re-Transmitter Tower.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide the Eidsvold Community the opportunity to be updated on the position of television re-transmission towers that are to be decommissioned on 30 June 2023, or on an early date, should the equipment fail.

On Friday 28 April 2023, Colin Boyce MP, the Federal Member for Flynn will be visiting the Monto and Eidsvold townships. This is an opportunity for local community members to say hello and discuss their concerns with your local Federal Member.

Flynn Electorate Volunteer Awards
Volunteers and their hard work form the backbone of our North Burnett communities and there are many generous, dedicated volunteers worth acknowledging in our region. The Flynn Electorate Volunteer Awards are now open, in the lead up to Volunteers Week, from 15-21 May 2023 and you can nominate a local hero to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from Federal Member for Flynn, Mr Colin Boyce MP’s office.
Certificates will be sent to a community group, for presentation to these amazing people. The closing date is 30 April 2023 and the form can be accessed on Mr Colin Boyce MP’s website: https://www.colinboyce.com.au
