The North Burnett Local Disaster Management Group has moved to Alert as they continue to monitor weather conditions over the coming days.

Residents are encouraged to be alert but not alarmed and monitor weather conditions in their area, as well as:

  • Monitor weather warnings, rainfall data, river heights and more on our Emergency Management Dashboard.
  • Monitor forecast rainfall here – Water and the Land: Forecast Rainfall (bom.gov.au)
  • Residents should ensure they understand their risk, prepare a household emergency plan and pack an emergency kit.  Your emergency kit should contain sufficient food, water and clothing to support you and your family during times of emergency and isolation.
  • Residents should prepare their properties i.e. remove pumps, move livestock, secure outdoor items such as trampolines and furniture.
Council will continue to monitor the weather conditions and provide regular updates as needed.
