Current Emergency Management Information

Council is tackling the issue of illegal dumping throughout the region with the help of the Local Government Illegal Dumping Partnerships Program (LGIDPP).

The LGIDPP has funded a full-time Compliance Officer who will work across the three (3) local government areas of North Burnett Regional Council, South Burnett Regional Council and Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council to investigate illegal dumping, raise awareness within the community and develop long term strategies to reduce waste.

To help combat illegal dumping and the cost of living the North Burnett Regional Council offers residents free household and green waste disposal at all NBRC Waste Management Facilities.

As illegal dumping can result in fines of more than $2000, Council urges residents to take advantage of the free disposal offered.

To report illegal dumping or for further information contact Council’s Environmental Heath team on 1300 696  272 or email admin@northburnett.qld.gov.au

This project is proudly supported by the Queensland Government.
