North Burnett Regional Council Mayor Les Hotz has extended his congratulations to newly appointed Premier David Crisafulli, and re-elected local Member for Callide, Bryson Head, following Saturday’s State Election results.
“I wish to congratulate Premier Crisafulli on the successful campaign and extend that to all recently elected members across the state of Queensland,” Mayor Hotz said.
“Congratulations also to our locally elected state member, Bryson Head, who is well acquainted with the challenges and aspirations of our region. After an initial term in opposition, Mr Head is now well positioned to help drive meaningful outcomes for the North Burnett and the wider Callide electorate.”
“I look forward to working closely with the new State Government. Premier Crisafulli’s experience in, and commitment to, local government will only serve to strengthen our collaboration – and the level of partnership – between our tiers of government,” Mayor Hotz added.
“Council’s recently adopted Advocacy Plan highlights our top priorities for the region, offering practical solutions for a bright future for our residents and communities, as well as enhancing the North Burnett’s contribution to the economic performance of Queensland.”
“We can’t do it all on our own – and if past outcomes are anything to go by – great things are possible when governments work together, and our Council looks forward to a productive and positive relationship with the Crisafulli government.”
“I warmly invite Premier Crisafulli to visit the North Burnett region soon and explore the boundless potential within our beautiful and productive region.”
