Council received water test results for samples from our swimming pools. The readings have resulted in a necessity to close two pools, Mundubbera and Monto, immediately. At Mundubbera, only the wading pool will be closed, with the main pool still open. At Monto, both the wading and the main pool need to be closed.
Council will monitor the water and chemical readings to ensure that levels are within acceptable ranges, before reopening the pools as soon as possible. Council apologises for any inconvenience.
Update: Mundubbera and Monto pools continue to be closed. Water monitoring is ongoing. Both pool closures are a precautionary measure. Every effort is being made to ensure that the pools are reopened for public enjoyment as soon as possible. Updates will come when they are available.
