North Burnett Regional Council has welcomed two new kerbside collection trucks through its continued agreement with JJ’s Waste and Recycling to provide waste management solutions throughout our region.

Mayor Les Hotz said the new trucks are safer and more efficient, ensuring they provide the best service to our community.

“The new trucks, which arrived in the region on Friday, have already commenced their first collection run, servicing our local residents and businesses.”

“The slogan “keeping our environment clean” is an important message, displayed alongside imagery of beautiful North Burnett waterways and farmland, and a reminder of the importance of looking after our environment.”

“The new trucks are also much quieter, and we encourage residents to ensure that they are familiar with their collection information. This includes ensuring your bin is out before 6am on collection day, that it is placed a maximum of one metre from the kerb with the lid opening onto the roadside, and that it is not too heavy or overfull with lids that can fully close.”
