North Burnett aviation is set to benefit thanks to funding received from the Australia Government as part of the Regional Airports Program.
Eidsvold Airstrip recently underwent work to create a safer and better-quality airstrip for community and emergency services use.
The next stage is the installation of new animal-proof chain wire perimeter fencing at the Gayndah, Mundubbera, Eidsvold and Monto aerodromes.
For these works to be safely undertaken, the Eidsvold Airstrip will be closed until 30 April 2022.
Gayndah Airport, and Mundubbera and Monto Airstrips will have work completed from March through April. These airstrips will remain open whilst works are undertaken as they will not interfere with use.
Installation works at all sites are expected to be completed by 21 April 2022, weather permitting.
