North Burnett and Bundaberg Local Disaster Management Group’s (LDMG) and Bundaberg District Disaster Management Group (DDMG) met at 9.30am 1/11/23.  North Burnett LDMG remain at Stand Up to support QFES in their response.

Due to the fires now in Bundaberg Region also, the DDMG have activated to Stand Up to ensure any assistance that may be required from State Government Agencies is available to Local Disaster Management Groups.

All fires across North Burnett are currently contained and being monitored closely.  An expected wind change and possible severe thunderstorms this afternoon could cause fires to flare.

The Recovery Information Tab on the Emergency Management Dashboard continues to be updated as support agencies are activated to support our community.

Primary Procedures are reminded to complete the DAF Agriculture Disaster Impact Survey to help support activation of recovery support DAF Queensland Disaster Impact Survey (arcgis.com).

QFES ask if anyone notices new smoke to report it immediately to 000. Multiple fires are still burning across the region and new fires could start easily.

Council reminds the community we are currently in a Fire Ban, do not light fires or take unnecessary risks.

An Advice Warning (Avoid Smoke) is in place for the North Burnett.
