At its general meeting today, Council endorsed for Mr Ray Burton PSM to commence as Interim CEO on 17 January 2022 until a new CEO is recruited.
This follows the resignation of Rachel Cooper, who will finish up with Council tomorrow, 16 December 2021.
“We have had the pleasure of Ray being our Interim CEO twice before,” Acting Mayor Radel said.
“His knowledge of our region and Local Government in general will support Councillors and our staff, as we continue to deliver services, deliver a budget for next financial year and recruit for a new CEO.
Ms Susan Glasson, the General Manager – Corporate and Community, will be the Acting CEO from Friday 17 December until Mr Burton commences.”
“Ms Glasson has shown her leadership capability as our General Manager and has acted in the CEO role previously.
“We are so lucky to have this depth of leadership in our staff who can step up into these key positions when required.”
