Council wishes to advise of the successful commissioning of the highly anticipated new Biggenden water treatment plant late last week. Consequently, the plant began supplying water to the Biggenden network, a significant milestone for the project and achievement for the residents of Biggenden.
Following commissioning and due to the slight differences in the chemical balance of the water the new plant produces, some residents may experience temporary discoloration or cloudy water while the new filters mature and the network adapts. Residents are advised the water is safe to drink, and Council is undertaking regular testing to ensure the water continues to meet relevant health standards.
