There has been a major sewer overflow in Strathdee Street, Mundubbera due to a pipe failure in the dry well. This has caused sewage to enter the stormwater in the area.
Council is using vacuum trucks to clean it up and this will probably take most of the day (Tuesday, 7 December 2021). Once cleaned up, then we will disinfect the affected areas to minimise public health risks.
The overflow has been reported to the environmental regulator.
