Council received on 2 November 2021 a material change of use for an intensive livestock industry – cattle feedlot up to 1450 standard cattle units (SCUs) and an environmentally relevant activity ERA2 (1b) – intensive animal feedlotting >1000 SCUs. As per the North Burnett Regional Council Planning Scheme and Planning Act 2016 an intensive livestock industry application of this size and located within the rural zone – intensive agriculture precinct is impact assessable. The applicant has advised Council that they intend to commence public notification on 6 January 2022. Public notification was conducted from the 6 to 28 January 2022.
