William Henry Walsh 200 th Birthday
William Henry Walsh Esquire, was born in 1823 Berkshire, England. Oxford educated, he arrived in Australia aged twenty-three and set up Degilbo Station. He was the first European to settle in our district after the explorers. Squatter, pastoralist and controversial politician, Walsh died in Toowoong Brisbane 1888.
