FREE – ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) Workshop – Gayndah

You are invited to attend a two-day workshop in Gayndah on 27 and 28 February 2024.

Attendance on both days is essential.

LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is the only workshop of its kind. Updated continually to reflect new knowledge, LivingWorks ASIST has been training people to provide suicide first aid interventions for 40 years.

This workshop is ideal for anyone who lives, works or volunteers in the North Burnett region who would like to improve their skills in interacting and communicating with people at risk of suicide to increase immediate safety and get further help.

Recognise when someone may be thinking of suicide.
Respond in ways that clarify and address suicide risk.
Understand why suicidal thoughts are present.
Work together to review risk and increase safety.
