Festival of Small Halls Monto
Monto Landcare Hall 46 Kelvin Street, Monto, Queensland, AustraliaFor the first time ever, Monto will be hosting the Festival of Small Halls. Festival of Small Halls is bringing musicians Kellie Loder and Van Dijk & McDonald to Monto, Central Queensland, on their upcoming Spring Tour 2024: Outback Queensland. Presented by veteran festival producers Woodfordia Inc, the much-loved not-for-profit music tour is embarking on its 41st trip. With a packed schedule of twenty shows across four Spring weeks, this tour heads all the way up to the red dirt and dinosaur trails of Muttaburra, before worksing its way through the North Burnett and Banana regions, all the way to the border towns of Texas and Ballandean in the Goondiwindi and Southern Downs regions. It will stop in Monto on Friday 11th October, hosted in the Monto Landcare Hall. Newfoundland musician Kellie Loder will be travelling to Australia for their inaugural Australian tour. “I am beyond excited to bring my music to Australia for the first time in my career.” Joining Kellie are Van Dijk & Mcdonald, much-loved folk duo who’ve featured across many a musical act, and are bringing a fresh set of tunes with them this September. Mount Perry Car & Bike Show/Wood Chop/Art Exhibition
October the 12th will see the main street of Mount Perry once again come alive with the sights and sounds of hot rods, vintage cars, motorbikes and highly polished machines of all shapes and sizes. The Grand Hotel will host the wildly popular annual wood chop and the local Arts Group will have the "Capturing Moments in Time" art competition and exhibition open, with over $4000 in prizes.
