Camp Oven Variety Muster

Camp Oven Variety Muster Fundraiser for LifeFlight Monogorilby Hall 15 - 17 April 2022

Mt Perry Show

Mt Perry Showgrounds Monto Mt Perry Road, Mt Perry, Queensland

MT PERRY SHOW Home - Mt Perry Show The committee are working hard to bring you all the 2022 annual show again once more.  With all the new protocols that Covid 19 has brought with it, the electronic ticketing system introduced in 2021 will be the ongoing normal system of entry into the show going forward. Other benefits to the Society include less gate keepers and an accurate record of gate entry. We saw record entries in the stud cattle section and dog sections in 2021 and indications are these sections are on track for great entries again in 2022.  We look forward to our cooking sections being open again after being heavily impacted by Covid restrictions.  The cash draws will be running throughout the day and the major prize will be drawn at night just before our fireworks display. The committee thanks our very generous sponsors and willing and hardworking volunteers who support our annual show and we look forward to seeing you all once again on Saturday, 16th April 2022 for a great day out. Peter Dingle President

“Herstory” Book Launch – Gayndah

Gayndah Town Hall 32-34 Capper Street, Gayndah, Queensland

Rensina van den Heuvel's RADF project "Herstory" celebrates the stories of North Burnett women. "It has been almost a year since I embarked on this project to capture some of the stories of the Elder/Older women of the North Burnett Region." said Rensina. "I invited any woman who would be willing to be interviewed and who would like to be a part of this journey and share their stories." "I travelled to their towns of Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Mt Perry, Biggenden and Gayndah. 26 women opened their homes and hearts to me, with trust and courage. I felt grateful and humbled. Amidst joy, sorrow, wistfulness, and at times in, uproarious laughter, their stories unfolded." "To bear witness to their eminence was pure joy. The stories are unique and precious; from a bygone era. The book, Herstory- A Walk in Her Shoes is the culmination of these heart stories." Please celebrate Rensina's book and stories of North Burnett women by attending your local book launch! The event is Free. Light refreshments provided. Books will also be available for purchase @ $25 each. Town New Date Booking Times Event Start Time Venue Gayndah Wed 4/5/22 9.30–11.00am 10.00am Gayndah Supper Room Biggenden Fri […]
